We are a 40 seat restaurant at Westgate, not a data business. This page says exactly what happens to your information when you use this website, in plain words.
The short version
You can read this whole website without telling us anything. There is no contact form on it, no signup box, and no account to create. The only information that reaches us automatically is the anonymous visitor data Google and Meta collect for us, so we can tell whether our ads are worth the money.
If you book a table or order food online, you do that on SmartTable's pages, and the details you type go to them. We see the booking or the order because we run the restaurant.
What we collect
- Through this website: nothing you type. There is nowhere on phoheaven.co.nz to enter your name, email or phone number.
- If you book a table. Our booking button opens SmartTable's booking form. You give it your name, phone number, email and party size. We receive the booking so we can hold the table.
- If you order online. Our order button opens SmartTable's ordering page. You give it your name, phone number, your order and your payment details. Payment is handled by SmartTable and its payment provider. We never see your card number.
- If you call or email us. We have whatever you tell us, the same as any phone call.
- Automatically, while you browse. Which pages you looked at, roughly which town you are in, what kind of device you used, how you arrived here, and which buttons you tapped. This is not tied to your name.
The tags on this site, and what each one actually does
We would rather name these than hide them.
- Google Analytics. Counts page views, and records when someone taps Order Online, the menu, Book a Table, Get directions, our phone number, or a dish photo.
- Google Ads tag. Added 16 September 2026. It tells us when a visitor who arrived from one of our Google ads taps Get directions, so we can tell which ads bring people to the door.
- Meta pixel. Records a page view on every page, records that the menu page is a menu page, and records the same button taps listed above. It lets us see whether a Facebook or Instagram ad led to a visit.
- Google Maps. The map on the home page and the Westgate page loads from Google when you scroll down to it. Google sees that request.
That is the complete list. There is no session recording on this site, no heatmap tool, and no chat widget.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your information. Not to anyone, for any price.
- We do not send marketing emails from this website. There is no signup box, so there is no list. If you ever asked us directly to be told about something, that was you opting in, and you can tell us to stop at any time.
- We do not build a customer profile of our own from this website. We do not hold a website visitor database.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Cookies
The Google and Meta tags described above set cookies in your browser. That is what lets them tell a returning visitor from a new one.
You can block or delete them in your browser settings, and this website will still work normally. Nothing on it is locked behind a cookie. You can also install Google's own Analytics opt-out add-on, and change your Meta ad settings inside your Facebook or Instagram account.
Who else sees your information
- SmartTable, for table bookings and online orders.
- Google, for Analytics, Ads and the map.
- Meta, for the Facebook and Instagram pixel.
Each of them has its own privacy policy, and your information is held under that policy once it reaches them. Some of these companies store data outside New Zealand. The Privacy Act 2020 allows that where the receiving party has comparable safeguards in place, and these are all large providers operating under that standard.
How long it is kept
We do not keep anything of our own from this website. Google and Meta hold the analytics data under their own retention settings.
Booking and order records are different. Those are business records, and we keep them for seven years, because New Zealand tax law requires us to keep records that support a transaction for that long.
Delete your data
Email [email protected] with the subject line "Delete my data".
Tell us the name, phone number or email address you used with us, so we can find the right records. We will delete what we hold within 30 days and reply to confirm it is done.
Two honest notes. Where the law requires us to keep a record, such as a tax record of a sale, we will tell you which one and why. And because the analytics data above is not tied to your name, we cannot pick you out of it. To clear that, use your browser settings or the opt-out link in the Cookies section.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Email us and we will answer.
If you are not happy with how we handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz or on 0800 803 909.
Changes to this page
If we add or remove a tool that collects anything, we update this page and change the date at the top. The date at the top is always the truth about when it last changed.
